MSc Physiology, Managing Trustee
Being a physiologist, the functioning of the human body and how to keep that functioning well and healthy had always been a point of interest for me. Having had the opportunity of spending a few years in some other countries, I have seen how people there , are given very clear and definite information about keeping oneself healthy and how to detect signs of health emergency and act on it practically and immediately and how the best treatment can be provided for them .
Today, in my own country, I find heart problems and diseases associated with it are on the rise. I believe if people are provided with definite and clear information, then they can take their health related decisions without being confused and get the best health care, which in the long run will not only benefit the individual or a particular family but also the society as a whole. Since West Bengal Heart Foundation is providing me the platform to work in this direction I find myself privileged to be associated with it and help it to work ahead.
