Our Mission
Heart disease is rapidly becoming a major health problem in India. Incidence of heart attacks are increasing everyday and it is one of the major causes of death and illhealth in india. Sadly enough people are getting heart attacks at a much younger age compared to our western counterparts.
Lack of proper awareness about the heart diseases among the common people often creates further problem due to delayed detection of disease. People often ignore symptoms of heart diseases.
Once heart disease is detected it is important to have proper information available to the patients and to the relatives regarding the disease so that they can take an informed decision regarding the available treatment options and also learn how to live with the disease.
‘West Bengal Heart Foundation’ is formed with the idea to propagate awareness regarding heart diseases among the common people and patients. Vision of this foundation is to help people to take necessary steps to prevent cardiac diseases particularly coronary artery disease and to help patients to take informed decisions regarding different treatment options and modalities based on the current evidences and standard practices.
